Fahrenheit 451 (Part II)

I now know more about this society and how sad it really is. There are so many people who kill themselves because of how unhappy they are, and there are technicians already there because it's so common in this world that is "better" off without books. But people committing suicide is not the only thing that's wrong with this society. Married couples don't really love each other at all. They get married only because that's what's expected, or so they can elope with their significant other to help increase the population. For example, Mrs. Phelps is already on her third marriage and when her husband dies, he told her she can move on and marry again right away. Also, that scene where that woman was willing to burn with her books and Beatty was gonna leave her is another example of how careless people are.
