The Lovely Bones caught my attention because the description tells you that a young girl has been raped and killed, and she is now in Heaven. The police found only one part of her body, and the killer isn't found - so the dad starts to look for him. Throughout the whole book, I was really sad because of the tragic event that happened. Not only that, but the bad guy isn't captured and he still gets to live his life while a young girl who had a whole life ahead of her was dead. You also get to see her family fall apart. The story is just heartbreaking, but there are also some happy parts which makes the story better because if it was just all pain and sadness - I would definitely not be satisfied with this book.
