After reading My Sister's Keeper, I can honestly say it's my most favorite book I have ever read. The whole plot and story was suspenseful, and my heart grew attached to the characters - especially Anna. I felt bad for her because her parents didn't document her life as a child, and she had no photos to look back on. I also loved her because she was so brave, strong, fierce, and loving. At first, I was so against the mom but eventually I started to empathize with her and understand why she did what she did and how she felt. I really liked how Picoult added chapters that weren't just Anna's P.O.V. It gave me a deeper look/understanding on what the characters thought and felt.
I also just wanted to say that I watched more than half the movie and could not finish it because I thought it was horrible. The director changed a lot of the scenes in the book and I didn't like how Anna was portrayed. She seemed so childish, and I imagined her as a quiet, serious, and mature person. I was disappointed how the movie didn't stay true to the book and how it wasn't to my liking.
I think I'm going to read this book next(:
